Rate Schedule 2I - Small Commercial

Availability

Available for commercial, industrial, and three-phase farm service and/or all other uses including lighting, air conditioning, heating and power, subject to the established rules and regulations.

Type of Service

Single-phase, and three-phase where available, at available secondary voltages.  Customer shall be responsible for providing protection from single-phasing of three-phase loads.  Service under this rate is limited to twenty five (25) KW demand.  If demand exceeds twenty five (25) KW, the prevailing Rate Schedule 4 shall apply.

Monthly Rate

Monthly Service Charge                                   25.37

 Plus

10.359 cents per KWH for first 5,000 KWH's plus

 9.879 cents per KWH for all remaining KWH's

Minimum Charges

The minimum monthly charge under the above rate shall be the monthly service charge of $25.37 plus $5.00 per kW of actual demand.

Extension of Facilities

In cases where it is necessary to extend or reinforce distribution lines, service will be furnished only under the following conditions:

          The customer shall give satisfactory assurance supported by a written agreement as to the character, amount and duration of the business offered.

  • The customer shall guarantee minimum monthly revenue not less than 1/60th of the estimated additional investment required to extend service.  This shall include the additional cost of meters, transformers, and any additions to or alternations of lines and equipment necessary to make service available.  Minimum charges for service shall be based on the additional investment only when this results in greater charges than those based upon the rate schedule minimum herein before provided.

Temporary Service

Temporary service shall be supplied in accordance with the foregoing rate except that the customer shall pay, in addition to the foregoing charges, the total cost of connecting and disconnecting services less the value of materials returned to stock.  A deposit, in advance, may be required of the full amount of the estimated bill for service, including the cost of connection and disconnection.

Average Delivered Power Cost

To the total of the above charges for electric service under this rate schedule, there shall be added or subtracted an amount determined in accordance with the Association's Power Cost Adjustment Rider.  A copy of the Power Cost Adjustment Rider is available at any office of the Association.

Tax Expense Adjustment

To the total of the above charges for electric service under this rate schedule, there shall be added or subtracted an amount determined in accordance with the Association's Tax Expense Adjustment Rider.  A copy of the Tax Expense Adjustment Rider is available at any office of the Association.

Tax Clause

To the total of all charges for electric service under this rate schedule shall be added the applicable existing Mississippi State and municipal sales taxes.

Hurricane Katrina Cost Recovery

To the total of the above charges for electric service under this rate schedule, there shall be added an amount as determined in accordance with the Association’s Hurricane Katrina Cost Recovery Rider. This monthly charge is for the collection of the net expenses incurred due to Hurricane Katrina, along with the associated interest cost.  This charge will continue to be collected until all related expenses have been collected.

Terms of Payment

The above rates are net and payable within twenty-one (21) days from date of the bill.
